Cappanalea In September 2009 we decided to start off fourth year with a bang by heading to Cappanalea alfresco Education Centre. However one of our greatest shocks upon our arrival at the school to fascinate the bus was to find that we had acquired a round extra people in our year. Not naming whatever names, but some people were not the happiest that we were to have a couple of unexampled strangers amongst us. Anyway we clothe off strike with to Kerry, all completely unaware of what was in store for us when we arrived. We separated off into our separate suite and immediately company about hiding the serious amount of sweets, crisps etc. that we brought with us. On our first night we took a night time procession around the area. Even though we were well prepared with our wellies and raincoats, we up to now managed to position soaked through. However it wasnt until we returned back to the cortege that the real drama began, an innocent game of chasing led to what screw propeller only be described as a tragedy. I broke my big toe and sliced off my nail. So the rest of the trip was spent watching everyone else do the activities journey I attempted to join in!
We took part in many different activities including kayaking, mountaineering, orienteering and abseiling. There were many highlights varying from overhearing confab about piercings to people falling into puddles to the whole year toilsome to hide in one room and thinking that we would demoralize away with it. Overall it was a great adventure, I attain a invigorated nickname Sinead the Toe and the two new strangers bec ame integrated within the 4th year family an! d were never to be known as strangers again.
